A 68-year old Clem man accused of murdering his son-in-law in October is again denied bond this week. Clyde Henry Puckett has reportedly admitted to Carroll County Sheriff’s investigators that he did shoot and kill 40-year old Michael Shane Barber inside the victim’s home on the evening of October ninth.
The decision to deny bond may have been aided when investigators revealed that Puckett had made a phone call from the Carroll County Jail in late October, in which he allegedly expressed anger toward a relative of Barber’s.
Puckett’s case is expected to come before a Carroll County grand jury for indictment next year.
