Villa Rica mayor J. Collins holds off challenger Terry Turner, to continue with a third term as the city’s mayor. The Carroll County side of Villa Rica supported Collins by a 66% or 330-vote margin.
The majority of Villa Rica voters in both Carroll and Douglas counties approve the sale of beer and wine on Sundays.
Two city council seats on the ballot were unchallenged.
