Election Night In Haralson County

Buchanan residents are asked to return to the polls in December to vote again for the city’s Mayor after none of the three mayoral candidates receive more than 50% of the total votes last night. Freda Williams and incumbent Buster Biggers are on that run-off ballot scheduled for December 6^th. Jarred Taylor and Patricia Warren win the challenged council seats in Buchanan.

In Bremen, the lone challenged race on the ballot was for the city school board. Incumbent Brandall Lovvorn keeps his spot on the board with a victory over Richard Gillespie.

Not a good night for challenged-incumbent city council members in Tallapoosa. Jonathan James defeats incumbent Charles Worthy for Council Post 4. For Post 5, Bobby Parker defeats Billy Wilson.

And in the city of Waco last night- only one item on the ballot. That regarding packaged beer and wine sales in the city. Waco voters say “no” to that idea.
