Carrollton-Area hospitality partners are preparing for a busy weekend ahead. The state cross country championship goes on at the Carrollton Schools campus… the Fall Classic Swim Meet happens @ Lakeshore Natatorium and the Carrollton Classic Invitational Gymnastics Meet takes place @ the East Carrollton Gymnastics Center.
Carrollton Area Convention & Visitor’s Bureau Executive Director Jonathan Dorsey says these events will bring thousands of visitors to the area this weekend. He says the cross country meet alone should attract more than 6,000 people.
Cross country and gymnastics are Saturday only while the swim meet will run Friday afternoon through Sunday. Dorsey says the three events represent roughly $1 Million in economic impact in our community, just in one weekend.
