Carrollton Police believe they have identified the man who robbed the Bank Of America on Maple Street in Carrollton Thursday morning. Sgt. Blake Hitchcock tells us that an arrest warrant has been issued for 36-year old Torian Jamal Wynn of Villa Rica. Hitchcock says an area resident was able to identify Wynn as the man in the still shots released by police to the public yesterday.
Bank Of America tellers say Wynn entered the bank around 9:00am Thursday. They say he had drawn attention to himself before he approached a teller, because of the way he was dressed… a heavy jacket, toboggan and sunglasses. Wynn allegedly approached a teller for money after bank employees attempted to communicate with him. Authorities say there is a noticeable increase in robberies like this during the last quarter of the year as Christmastime approaches and some get more desperate to provide for their families.
Anyone with information on Wynn’s whereabouts is encouraged to avoid confrontation but rather call the crime stoppers tip-line at 770-838-stop.
