BOIL WATER ADVISORY

Laboratory results released earlier today by the Carroll County Water Authority indicate that water served to CCWA customers of the Lake Paradise area may not meet all current regulatory requirements.  Impacted areas include Lake Paradise Road, Paradise Landing Subdivision and Hickory Pointe Subdivision.  Authority personnel have begun flushing affected waterlines to assure that water continues to meet the high standards Authority customers have come to expect.  Although the problem source has not yet been identified, Authority officials suspect low chlorine residual may have been contributory.  Authority officials recommend that residents in the advisory area heat water to a rolling boil for at least five minutes prior to drinking until further notice.  Areas served by the City of Villa Rica were not affected.  Questions or concerns regarding this notice may be directed to Tom Kohler, Engineering and Operations Manager, at 770 832-1277, ext. 111.
