NOTICE lS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 8rh day of November 2011an election will be held in the regular polling place for the City of Temple, the Temple Senior Citizens Center, 280 Rome St, Temple, GA.
This election will be for the following offices:
€ity Council, Wards 3, 4 and 5 - Qualifying Fee 972.00
Qualifying will re-open on Monday September 19, 2011. Previous qualifying was done considering the ward lines that were approved by the Department of Justice at the time of qualifying on August 29, 2011. Since that time, the Department ofJustice has approved new Ward lines (dated August 31, 2011) for the City of Temple.
Qualifying will take place in the office of the Elections Supervisor, 423 College Street, Room 302, County Administrative Building, Carrollton, GA beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 2011 and shall end on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. Daily hours will be
9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with an hour observed for lunch from noon until 1:00 p.m. Monday , Tuesday and Wednesday.
All candidates offering for City Council must be a registered voter in the City of Temple and the ward you are qualifying for a period of twelve months prior to the date of the election and be at least 21 vears of age.
The last day to register to vote in this election will be Tuesday, October 11, 2011.
In the event of a Runoff from this election, it will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2011.
