A Carrollton convenience store clerk is in the Carroll County Jail accused of false imprisonment, molestation, kidnapping and enticing an area 9-year old boy. 64-year old Rajnikant Patel of Carrollton is accused of multiple violations against the young boy that allegedly occurred at Patel’s place of employment- The Stop & Shop on Newnan Road. “The victim would go to the store, located near his home, in the morning where he would catch a bus to school,” according to Carrollton Police Captain Chris Dobbs. “Some things happened inside the store, over a period of time—maybe several days, a couple weeks.”
Dobbs says the investigation is in the early stages.
