HC Waiting On 'Work-Ready' Confirmation
Haralson County's Development Authority is awaiting official word from the state that the county is a Certified-Work-Ready-Community. Executive Director, Tara Chapman says that according to July's work-ready numbers, Haralson County is meeting the required standards and has reached this goal. "Haralson County has been pursuing this initiative for two years," she says. "The reason for work-ready is to say that we have the 'jobs' that businesses are looking for. So when a business is looking for a place to move , by being a Certified-Work-Ready-Community, businesses can be assured that we have taken the extra steps to insure we have the work-force they need."
Haralson County residents can improve the county's work-ready appearance, according to Chapman, by taking an assessment exam and GAP training, available through the Carrollton & Waco locations of WGTC.
