UWG Now Offering Classes in Douglasville

The University of West Georgia has started offering classes at its new location in Douglasville, bringing educational opportunities to one of the fastest-growing areas in metro Atlanta.

The Saturday graduate level and doctoral classes began in the Fall 2011 semester, with nearly 70 students. The graduate classes are: Leadership Residency II and Language-Minority Education and Culture. The doctoral class is Program Evaluation. In the spring, UWG will offer more classes at the Stewart Parkway location. Richards College of Business will offer Marketing Strategy during the first half of the Spring 2012 semester and Managerial Accounting during the final half.

UWG and Georgia Highlands College share the 30,000-square-foot space. In a partnership with Douglas County and the city of Douglasville, a former shopping center was converted into a state-of-the-art facility. It opened in June 2010. Georgia Highlands, a two-year school, started offering core classes in the fall of 2010.
