Turkey Heaven Volunteer Fire Department will be having a Turkey Shoot on Saturday, March 3rd beginning at 10 a.m. at Trickum Recreation Center, 14650 Highway 46, Heflin. Prizes include, Ham, Turkey, or Hoop cheese. Everyone welcome to attend. All proceeds will go toward the fire departments matching funds for a new tanker truck.

Car Seat Inspection Station

Safe Kids Douglas County will be hosting an inspection station in the parking lot of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, 6856 Broad Street Douglasville, on Friday, March 30th from 9:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. There will also be a car seat distribution program available to those who qualify. Springfest - All Day Family Festival

The Car, Bike and Sound Show will be held on Saturday, March 17th from 12 noon - 4 p.m. at West Georgia Technical College (Douglas Campus), 4600 Timber Ridge Drive, Douglasville. All proceeds will benefit the March of Dimes. Entry fee for Bike, 15.00, Cars, 20.00, Sound, 15.00, show and sound, 30.00. There will also be a yard sale. Braydon's Blood Drive will be held on Friday, February 24th from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Central Square Complex, Downtown Douglas county. Braydon has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic leukemia. A blow up bouncer will be set up for people with small children so they can donate blood and a wishing well will be available to give everyone the opportunity to go by and write a wish/prayer
