Accused Killer From Ohio Could Be Traveling To NW GA

Carroll County Sheriff’s Office has notified a Villa Rica family, that a relative suspected of murder in Ohio, could be traveling to Villa Rica. Deputies are keeping an eye out for 55-year-old Thomas Probst, who allegedly killed his wife. Probst’s daughter lives near the Fairfield Plantation area. Residents were notified by email Wednesday that “there is a slight chance” that Probst could be heading to the neighborhood and that he is considered “armed and dangerous.”

The suspect is described as being a 5-foot-9, 155-pound balding male, possibly with a gray mustache and partial beard. Authorities said he could be driving one of two vehicles — a white 1994 Toyota pickup truck or a cream-colored 1999 Ford Ranger. Both vehicles have Ohio tags.

So far authorities say they have no specific information suggesting he is currently in the area or is committed to coming to the area.
