A Carrollton man is dead and charges are pending against a 13-year old male, following an all-terrain-vehicle accident Monday night. Georgia State Patrol Public Information Officer Gordy Wright says the crash occurred at 8:25 p.m. on Sage Drive in Carrollton. A 2006 Suzuki ATV being driven by the juvenile was eastbound on Sage when the vehicle left the road on the south shoulder and hit a ditch before coming to rest. The 32-year-old passenger --boyfriend of the boy’s mother--- Nickolas Eugene Sellers was ejected from the ATV and killed when he struck a utility pole. The teenaged driver was airlifted to Egleston with serious injuries and is said to be in stable condition. Investigators say they are considering filing charges against the teen for operating the ATV without a license and on a public roadway, which is illegal in Georgia. Both individuals were wearing helmets at the time of the accident.
