Carrollton Police continue to investigate an alleged armed robbery at the Bankhead Highway Pizza Hut early Monday morning. Captain Jamison Sailors says the store-manager—alone, and shortly after entering the store--- was threatened with a bottled chemical-like degreaser- and was ordered to open the business safe. “The lady comes in to open the store at around 9:00. After a while, she is approached by a white male. We are not yet sure how he entered the building… if it was before or after her entrance. He demands the money… makes her open the drawer,” he says. “She says he was very polite, very cordial, didn’t harm her. He knew what he was doing… he knew where to go. And as soon as he got what he wanted, he took off running out the back.”
Sailors says the suspect is between 6-0 and 6-2 inches tall, was wearing a long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, a “skull” cap and a scarf around his face at the time of the incident. The victim noted the suspect has a distinct southern country dialect. Anyone with information should call the Crimestoppers tip-line.
