A fire at a Villa Rica apartment complex early Sunday morning leaves at least 8-families displaced this week although fire officials say apartment management has already begun repairs in hopes of getting those residents back home soon. Carroll County Fire Department Deputy Chief Brian Shadrix says local units responding to the blaze at Hampton Court Apartments on Industrial Boulevard were able to put the fire out quickly. Shadrix says one occupant was transported to a local hospital as a precaution but was released shortly thereafter. No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
