Haralson Chamber Hears 'Free Enterprise' Message
Steve Gradick Reporting
Haralson County -- A pro-business message was delivered by U-S Chamber of Commerce Regional Director, Moore Hallmark to the Haralson County Chamber of Commerce membership breakfast. Hallmark points out the US Chamber Free Enterprise campaign is critical in the face of a two-year old poll showing Capitalism only edging out Socialism as the preferred system among high school students. "And the 3rd option was: they have no idea," says Moore. "Capitalism won... but only by a few percentage points. Like 35 to 33-percent. And the remaining did not know what either was. There's a problem with that. It's through this campaign that for free enterprise that we are trying to educate all people that free enterprise is what made this country great."
Hallmark says it is also important for the federal government to reign in excessive regulation and to reform the regulation process which is costing consumers $1.7T annually just in areas of labor, health care and energy.
