The James Conner VFW Post 7404 off Bankhead Highway in Carrollton has been closed by the state organization and the property is “expected to be put up for sale,” according to a former employee. 
 
A sign posted on the door reads, “post is closed due to violations of fraternal regulations of the VFW-- ordered by the department trustees.”
 
WLBB reached out to former-post commander Jim Parham for comment; through a third-party late last week, but was unable to make contact.
 
State records show the post was registered as a nonprofit corporation on October 21, 1947.
