UWG Students Arrested for Robbery

Carrollton Ga -- Three University of West Georgia students and another male are charged with robbery and false imprisonment after they are alleged to robbed drug dealers inside a vacant Campus Walk apartment. Each suspect is also alleged to be a member of the Bloods gang.

University police and Carrollton police were active in the arrests. CPD Captain Shannon Cantrell said the victims in the case met the suspects at the apartment. The victims were there to sell drugs to the suspects.  The suspects robbed the victims as they entered the apartment.  The apartment was vacant and  had gang graffiti all over.

Cantrell commented, "Two female students who were meeting these guys to sell marijuana and even thought they were doing illegal activities themselves, they became victims. We find that most of the time gang members target other gang members or people that are doing illegal acts because they think that they won't call the police, which is usually true."

The victims in this case did come forward and investigators were able to get these suspects off the street, Cantrell continued.

Those arrested were 20-year old Quincy Walker, University of West Georgia students: 19-year old Jaylen Love, 20-year old Kelvin Williams and 18-year old Jeremy Minor James. Police continue to seek out another male alleged to have been part of the incident: 18-year old Cameron Dalton-Harvey, also a UWG student.
