VRPD -- On 01/09/13 Sgt Chet Long and Officer Kai Waldo responded to the Econo Lodge on Hwy 61 in Villa Rica due to 911 hang up call. Upon Sgt. Long’s arrival he noticed the odor of marijuana inside the room. During the subsequent investigation it was determined that both occupants had outstanding warrants for Probation Violations through Paulding County.
The officers discovered both subjects had bags of methamphetamines in their pockets. Also found in the room were pipes used to smoke methamphetamine and a small amount of marijuana which was determined to belong to Anthony Baldwin.
The subjects were identified as Anthony Lewis Baldwin, 54 years old, from Dallas Ga and Melissa Ann Pace, 49 years old, from Dallas Ga. Both were arrested for the probation warrants as well as the additional charges of Possession of Methamphetamines and Possession of Drug Related Objects. Baldwin was also charged with Possession of Marijuana.
It was determined that the 911 hang up call had been made from Pace who stated that she had just got a new phone and was having trouble working it.
