The Burson Center cited as one of the best business resources in Georgia

CARROLLTON, GA – The Burson Center, business incubator and regional resource center, has been named one of the best resources for starting a business in Georgia by Startup Savant, an online magazine that introduces aspiring business owners to tools and resources.
The Burson Center is a mixed-use business incubator and resource that facilitates entrepreneurship, innovation, and business growth by assisting new ventures. The center provides business planning, expansion coaching, counseling, technical support, affordable office space, an entrepreneurial environment for clients, and more.
The Burson Center opened in 2006 and is owned and operated by Carroll Tomorrow, an economic development public-private partnership.
"We are very appreciative of this recognition by StartupSavant.com,” said Donna Armstrong-Lackey, senior vice president of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and Carroll Tomorrow.  “Our ten years of success in the west Georgia region can be directly attributed to the ongoing collaborative efforts by Carroll Tomorrow, University of West Georgia, West Georgia Technical College, SBDC and Georgia Tech."
The Burson Center has incubated more than 100 businesses, creating 789 jobs and over $69 million in capital investment since opening in 2006. In addition to the companies that are in residence at The Burson Center, the Center’s staff, and resource partners are currently working with over 250 other businesses annually of varying sizes through the northwest Georgia region. The Center has hosted more than 20,000 visitors for over 3,100 seminars, expos, and programs.
“The Burson Center fosters an environment for planning, organizing, and expansion in addition to building a solid foundation while minimizing risk,” said Lauren Holverson, director of The Burson Center. “The center is always looking to meet the needs of our entrepreneurs in the region and looking for creative ways to engage, empower, and encourage small business owners.”
“Georgia is a wonderful state to conduct business in, and we are thrilled to be amongst those recognized,” Holverson said.
