Carroll County -- Steven Heath Pointer – Wanted by the Carroll County Sheriff's Office
On January 3, 2012 at approximately 4:00 am, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported home invasion / burglary that had occurred on Tumlin Creek Rd. Deputies met with
the victim who said that he had heard a loud knock on his door between 3:30 am and 4:00 am.
He recognized the subjects at the door (DavidWilliams & Steven Pointer) and opened it for
them. After opening the door Williams ran into the house knocking him down and Pointer came
in and held him down.
The 1st suspect (identified as David Williams) ran into a bedroom and stole money and
prescription medication and then ran back out of the residence. As both suspects were fleeing the residence, a neighbor, who heard the commotion, came outside and was struck by Pointer
and knocked to the ground. The suspects then fled the area in a tan or gold 1999 Toyota
Corolla. The neighbor had a small cut under on the left side of his face but did not want any
medical treatment.
David Williams was arrested on Jan. 4, 2012 and charged with Burglary, Robbery and Simple
Battery. The 2nd suspect, Steven Heath Pointer has active warrants for Burglary, Robbery, and 2 counts of Simple Battery. Pointer has not yet been located and is believed to be traveling in the Toyota Corolla (tag# 2155AFM).
