More Wolves showing up in west Georgia this week…
Two new ceramic colorful art versions are the latest to be installed locally as part of the Howl For UWG Project, benefiting the UWG annual fund, which provides scholarships and financial assistance to UWG students.
Wolf 1: "Tribute"
Artist: Mckinley Shunn, UWG Art Major
Sponsored by Paul Walls.
Located in the small park next to the courthouse.
Description of Wolf:
McKinley’s design is a celebration of some of the prominent historical figures of Carroll County and a representation of their landmarks or contributions.  The color choice of sepia images protruding from a black background symbolizes the impact their past accomplishments had on our present. This wolf exemplifies Carroll County’s rich foundation and stands firm for the future.
Wolf 2: "Heart of Bremen"
Artists: Bremen City School Students with assistance from BCS Art Teachers Crystal Pollard, Lori Ellis, and Bert Barrow.
Sponsored by the Hampton Inn of Bremen.
Located at the Bremen Hampton Inn next to I-20 exit.
Description of Wolf:
A wolf is nothing without its heart, and a school system is nothing without its community. With the support of the community, Bremen City Schools have demonstrated a tradition of excellence. We understand what matters most is where we go from here. While championships, victories, and accolades of the past have established a foundation for the future, it is our responsibility as a community and as a family to teach our young people to be young men and women of character, who unwaveringly give their best in all endeavors. “Excellence in all we do.”
