High Speed Chase Ends In Crash; Suspects Behind Bars

A man and woman wanted on numerous charges including the theft of a Cartersville patrol vehicle earlier this month, led multiple local law enforcement agencies and U.S. Marshals on a high speed chase through west Georgia late Friday afternoon.

The female suspect-- identified as Annastasia Nicole Earwood of Ranger-- was apprehended when the suspects' vehicle crashed on Highway 78 after it ran over a spike strip outside of Williams Body Shop.

After the suspect's vehicle ran over the strip, the male driver lost control of the vehicle, which hit a stopped car head on. Reports indicate that a woman and her infant were inside of that car. Friends of their family say that the two are "OK" but would not comment on the extent of their injuries at  this time.

Following the crash, the male suspect-- identified as Rudy Lee Vinson of Bremen-- fled on foot and allegedly hijacked a vehicle. The victim of that alleged incident notified authorities that the suspect exited the vehicle outside the Bremen Wal-Mart. Authorities were able to apprehend him inside the store.

Vinson and Earwood were both in the Haralson County Jail on Friday night. Vinson is charged with felony hindering the apprehension and punishment of a criminal, and Earwood is charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property. Additional charges are expected.
