Carrollton Rolls Back Millage

Carrollton Ga -- The Carrollton City Council approved a millage rate rollback from 4.62 mills to 4.60 mills during a special called meeting on Monday.

City Finance Director Jim Triplett said based on growth of the tax digest, rolling back this small amount, the city is still poised to have a net increase in ad valorem tax revenue of $330,979 or approximately 9%.

Triplett said if the city council had elected to keep last year's millage rate of 4.62 mills, the city would have netted approximately $15,000 in additional revenue.
