Carrollton Grandmother, Passenger In Car, Killed In Sunday Morning Wreck

A 50-year old Carrollton woman was killed Sunday after being ejected from a vehicle on State Route 1 near Roopville.
Georgia State Patrol says the crash occurred around 7:55 a.m. on April 9th.
"Vehicle #1, a 2005 Kia Sorento, was traveling north on SR 1. The driver of vehicle #1 drove off the left side of the roadway into the center median, causing vehicle #1 to overturn several times. The victim, a passenger, Waunita Clark, 50, of Carrollton, was ejected from vehicle #1 and was fatally injured."
Clark studied at Mt Zion High School and the University Of West Georgia, according to her Facebook page.
The GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is conducting a follow-up investigation.

Charges are pending.
Clark was a grandmother; and, friends are calling her "funny, faithful, a realist and silly."

According to friends and her Facebook page, Monday would have been her 51st birthday.

GSP says three other people were injured, inlcuding the driver of the KIA who was airlifted to Grady Hospital in Atlanta. A single passenger did not suffer serious injury.
