Buchanan Man Injured After Car Collides With Fire Truck

Georgia State Patrol tells WLBB Radio this afternoon that a 25-year old Buchanan man has been life-flighted to Grady Hospital in Atlanta, after the car he was driving collided with a Haralson County Fire truck this morning.

GSP Public information officials say that around 11:50 this morning, a Honda Civic was traveling northbound on US 27. A Haralson Co. fire truck was traveling eastbound on Hwy 120. The fire truck had its lights and sirens activated as it attempted to cross US 27. The Civic struck the fire truck in the front right with its left front (driver side).

The car's driver had to be extricated from his vehicle.

 GSP continues to investigate the incident.
