Arrests Made For Second Swiped Wolf Sculpture

Two Fayette county men are arrested and charged with the theft of that second fiberglass wolf from the city of Carrollton earlier this month.

23-year old Michael Barchi and 22-year old Benjamin Joiner are each charged with felony theft by taking and misdemeanor criminal trespass in the theft of the statue that had been keeping guard outside The Amp. Police recovered that wolf in a ditch in Riverside Park on Highway 16 last week. That piece is broken at the ankles and folk are still trying to determine how to return it to its display.

Police have not made an arrest for the first wolf to go missing. It was later found-- smashed in many pieces. The man believed to be responsible has come forward and offered to pay restitution.

Police say the two men arrested for this second theft have so far offered little information regarding their alleged actions.
