22-Year Old Confesses To Murder Of Grandfather



Police say a 22-year old Carrollton man has confessed to the murder of his 70-year old grandfather last weekend.
 
Carrollton City Firefighters found the body of Alvin Driver in the living room of his Foster Street home after responding to a house fire at around 5 a-m Saturday. An autopsy this week ruled Driver’s death to be a homicide rather than death by smoke-inhalation.
 
Carrollton Police Captain Chris Dobbs has not yet released the motive or cause of death but said late Thursday: that after questioning, Anthony Prothro of Carrollton admitted to the murder of his grandfather.
 
Prothro is so far charged with murder, arson and tampering with evidence.
